Someone wiser than us once said that there’s no such thing as bad weather: there are only the wrong clothes. It’s true that wrapped-up warm and wellies-on is the only way to visit British beaches in winter. And once you’re dressed right, the beach in winter is a beautiful place to be as well as being a wonderful playground for children.
